Britannia Secondary School has a long history of excellence in the areas of academics, athletics, and service. Achievement in these three areas is acknowledged and rewarded in a variety of ways throughout and especially at the end of each school year. Recognition of student success is featured on a regular basis in newsletters, bulletins, and on this website. Our June Valedictory Ceremony, Awards Ceremony, and Athletic Banquet formally celebrate our students' many accomplishments.
Britannia Academic Scholarships are awarded at the School Leaving Ceremony each year. To be considered for these scholarships, a student must graduate from Britannia. In addition, he/she must enroll in and complete the following courses at Britannia:
Students making the Grade 12 Term 2 Honour Roll will form the basis for selection of candidates with additional candidates coming from teacher recommendations.
Final determination of scholarship candidates will be based on the following criteria:
