Thinking About September 2010

Registration is already beginning for next year's Venture 8 class. The deadline for the receipt of applications is December 17, 2009.
Applications can be downloaded and printed from a 'PDF' file at the bottom of this page.

Venture 8 applicants must also register for the District Wide Testing Session. Registration for the test must be done online, between November 27, 2009 and December 6, 2009 on the VSB website.

The 2009-2010 Venture 8 class, climbed the Grouse Grind in September. Starting out at the bottom under sunny skies, the students with 2 teachers and 2 P.E. 12 Leadership students climbed the Grind and demonstrated their fitness as well as their ability to have fun!

For many students this was the first time that they had attempted such a strenuous physical challenge. For each and every one of them, they proved to themselves that just as they succeeded at the Grind they will succeed in the challenges of Venture.

Shoreline Cleanup

Venture 10 and IB 11 students did their bit for the environment this fall by removing a large amount of garbage from one of Vancouver's local beaches. The most unusual items they found included a dead seagull, a dead jellyfish, a huge styrofoam block and a live crab in a bottle! Enjoy the web gallery.
